There are many attractive reasons for Angelenos to own the all-electric Nissan LEAF: single-occupant access to high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes; an available California state tax rebate of $2,500; much lower operating costs than a gas-powered car and now, free public charging.
Nissan offering two years of no-cost public charging at hundreds of stations with the purchase or lease of a new Nissan LEAF in the Los Angeles area. This includes no-cost access to fast chargers that can charge a LEAF battery pack from zero to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes.
"Los Angeles has long been one of the world’s top markets for electric car sales," said Brendan Jones, director, Nissan Electric Vehicle Sales and Infrastructure. "Adding free access to public fast charging in the LA market gives us a competitive edge over other vehicles, regardless of their fuel source."
"No Charge to Charge" takes advantage of the new EZ-Charge card, a first-of-its-kind card that offers Nissan LEAF owners access to five leading EV charging networks with a single card. New owners will receive an EZ-Charge card that will provide access to chargers with ChargePoint, Blink, CarCharging, AeroVironment and NRG eVgo. (Note: not all chargers available with the EZ-Charge card are part of “No Charge to Charge.”)
LEAF owners who purchase or lease their vehicle on or after July 1, 2014, in the Los Angeles market will receive entry into the “No Charge to Charge” program.

"To wash your new Nissan, remove dirt with a wet sponge and plenty of water. Use a mild soap or gentle dishwashing liquid mixed with clean lukewarm water. Then rinse with clear water. Clean the inner edges of doors, flanges and hood to remove dirt and debris. It is recommended that you wax and polish your vehicle using only the types of products suggested by your NISSAN service department. For spot removal, wipe away tar, oil, dirt, insects, tree sap and other abrasive material as soon as possible. If you do, you will reduce the chance of paint damage or permanent stains. Wash wheels regularly and clean chrome areas with a non-abrasive polish.
It takes very little time and effort to keep your Nissan's interior looking like new. You can remove loose dust and debris using a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush. Wipe all vinyl and leather surfaces (if so equipped) with a clean, soft cloth. Dampen it with water and a mild soap solution if necessary. Then rinse and wipe again with a dry cloth. For cleaning the meter and gauge lenses, use a cloth dampened only with water. Be aware that some cleaners, detergents and fabric protectors could harm your interior finishes and fabrics.
For more complete information on maintaining your NISSAN's beauty inside and out, consult the Appearance and Care section of your Owner's Manual."
To the design team tasked with creating an all-new third generation Nissan Murano, one thing was perfectly clear: Nothing less than a return to the original's "wow" factor would be acceptable.
The new Murano was subjected to three times the normal wind tunnel testing, eventually resulting in a 0.31 coefficient of drag – the same as many sports cars. The 0.31 Cd is projected to be among the best in the midsize crossover segment.
While exploring ways to give the new Murano an energetic, aero look, the designers wanted to retain the original's strong sculptural qualities. Their solution was to combine the usual sketching and computer renderings with three-dimensional modeling. The design process became more organic than usual, with miniature clay models helping define the forms early on and throughout the design process.
